Cookie policy

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. This policy lists the cookies used on herbdispenser.com and in our ordering system, and how you control them.

1. The short version

• This website sets no cookies unless you allow analytics. Nothing tracks you until you choose "Allow analytics".
• If you allow it, Google Analytics sets cookies that help us see which pages are useful.
• The ordering system, where practitioners and patients log in, uses cookies that are needed to keep you signed in and to take payment securely.
• We don't use advertising or social media tracking cookies.

2. Cookies on herbdispenser.com

Google Analytics tells us things like which pages are visited, how people find the site, and their approximate location and device type. It doesn't tell us who you are. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy), and it may be processed outside Canada.

Your choice

We store your answer to the analytics question in your browser's local storage (under hd-analytics-consent), so we don't have to ask again. It isn't a cookie and isn't sent to us or anyone else.

Contact form and opening hours

The contact form and the opening hours on our contact page are provided by PiggyButler and load from app.piggybutler.com. They don't set tracking cookies. If it sets a cookie at all, it's only one needed to send your message securely, for example to block spam.

Our fonts and images are served from our own site, so browsing it sends no information to font or image services.

3. Cookies in the ordering system

The practitioner and patient accounts at herbdispenser.dispensarytree.com are provided to us by Dispensary Tree. They use:

• Session cookies, which keep you signed in as you move between pages and protect your account. They're deleted when you sign out or close the browser.
• Payment security cookies, which our payment processor may set during checkout to process the card payment and prevent fraud.

These are strictly necessary: the ordering system can't work without them, so they don't need consent. They aren't used for advertising.

4. Managing cookies

• Change your analytics choice at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of any page.
• Your browser settings let you view, block and delete cookies. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop you from logging in to the ordering system.
• Google offers an add-on that opts you out of Google Analytics on every website: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

5. Changes and contact
