How ordering and direct-to-patient shipping work
You prescribe. We dispense, label, pack and ship. Here is what happens at each step, and what you control.
Ordering in four steps
Register and get verified
Create a free practitioner account. We check your credentials before your first order. Herb Dispenser only sells to practitioners who diagnose and prescribe.
Add your patient
Enter the patient's name and contact details so we can label the formula and, if they are paying, send them the invoice.
Build the formula
Combine single herbs as granules or tinctures, set the quantities and dosage, and add any instructions.
Check out
Choose who pays and where the order goes. We dispense it once it's paid.
Who pays: you or the patient
At checkout you decide who pays for the order.
- The patient pays. We email or text them a secure link to their invoice. They pay online, can change the delivery address, or choose pickup instead. They can also pay from their patient account.
- You pay. Pay by credit card or Interac e-Transfer and bill your patient however you normally do.
We dispense the order once payment is complete.
Markups
You can add a markup to the formulas you order for patients, so the price your patient pays covers your time on the prescription and follow-up. You set it in your account.

One order can hold formulas for several patients, for example a family, as long as one person pays and it all ships to one address.

Timing
Paid orders received by 1 PM Eastern, Monday to Friday, often ship the same day, depending on how many orders we have that day. That's a target, not a guarantee. Carriers don't deliver on weekends, and we're closed on holidays with no mail delivery.
